What’s your why? According to most small business surveys 90% of small businesses fail in their first five years and it is 96% in the online marketing industry. Only 4% of people achieve their dreams and reach their goals. People get started in a business opportunity and before they even start to drive traffic to it they allow one of their many excuses to crush them.

Be it through fear of failure, fear of success, loved ones doubting them or convincing them it’s a scam, overwhelm, etc…

Before you even start the entrepreneurship journey you need to ask yourself if all these obstacles are more important than your Why. You need to define “What’s your why?”. That is the Why you are doing this in the first place.

what's your why

Your Why may be a dream of success you have, your goals, your passion, the lifestyle change you desire or whatever you want to call it.

Your Why has to be bigger than all the obstacles that will come your way. It is the thing that will drive you to success.

No successful person has ever made it without putting up with a few of these obstacles, which is why the success rate in this industry is not high.

People just give up before their goals and dreams are realised.

So you need to ask yourself how important your goals and dreams are?

Here is my favourite poem called The Will to Win by Berton Braley, often quoted by my favourite motivational speaker Mr. Les Brown:

If you want a thing bad enough to go out and fight for it,
to work day and night for it,

to give up your time, your peace and your sleep for it

If all that you dream and scheme is about it and
life seems useless and worthless without it

If you gladly sweat for it,
fret for it and
plan for it and
lose all your terror of the opposition for it

If you simply go after that thing that you want with all of your capacity,
strength and sagacity,
faith, hope and confidence and stern pertenacity

If neither cold nor poverty, famish or goll,
sickness or pain of body and brain
can keep you away from the thing that you want

If dogged and grim you beset and beseige it,
then with the help of GOD you will get it.

This is the video that encouraged me to want to be a entrepeneur many years ago.

This is a clip that Les Brown, the great motivational speaker, gave me of him doing what he does best by getting people fired up to be the best version of themselves.

Now I want to share his message to the world with you.

I am setting you a 30 day challenge, I want you to watch this video every day for the next 30 days and be inspired and most importantly take action to RUN TOWARDS YOUR DREAM! By the end of that 30 days I guarantee you will know your Why. But don’t do this 30 day challenge for me, do it for yourself and find your Why.

You need to make your Why so big, so important to you that you won’t let anything get in your road to success.

Because at the end of the day, it comes down to how bad you want your dreams, your goals, your Why, that is what is going to determine how successful you are going to be.

So please feel free to use the comment thread below to share your Why with the world and come back to it if you ever doubt yourself on this journey and watch the video for inspiration.

So Now Ask Yourself What’s Your Why? Share it below.
